I love a challenge! I was recently asked if I could create a glass frame with roses, a dog and bantam chickens. So pleased to now be able to share one of my unique commisions. This lantern was recently gifted to newlyweds who have a passion for surfing and cycling, so my brief was to try and capture this in glass. Perfect day for beach huts🏖️ I can happily share this latest beach hut scene with you now as it has been successfully delivered over the weekend to a lady who loves beach huts and the sea. 🌞 This piece was fully fused to begin with using two sheets of tekta glass along with turquoise blue glass powder for the sky and white glass powder to create the fluffy clouds with a sprinkling of streaky opal brown/white medium frit for the beach. This glass was then tack fused for a second firing in the kiln to create a 3D effect with the colourful beach huts and pebbles. This lovely scene was then mounted onto a wooden stand with chrome glass fixings and 3 glass tealight holders at the back. 🏖️ I have a few variations of this design available in both a curved and wavy free standing finish. So thrilled to receive this recent review. Initially the order was for 1 'forget me not' fluted tealight holder and a large pink/white flower lantern.
